SCHOOL VISITS
CSI: Sittingbourne has also been opened up for local school children from Sittingbourne. The project has provided a fun and interesting day for over 300 pupils so far, where they have the opportunity to get up close to the artefacts and try their hands at archaeology.

Information about the evidence collecting processes involved in archaeology are presented to the children. They get to see grave layouts and learn how these might be interpreted by the archaeologists.

They also have the opportunity to see what the volunteers in the lab are working on and are also given demonstrations of the x-ray machine.

The children also get a chance to look around the exhibition area at some of the finds on display to the public. Objects like glass beads, replica glass vessels and pottery is on display.
